What is a Floor Plan?
A floor plan is the overhead view of the layout of a building, floor by floor. It can include details like doors, windows, radiators, etc., all represented by recognisable symbols. A good floor plan, along with a written description, can give a greater understanding of a property and a feeling about a potential new home.
Floor plans can be hand drawn or generated on a computer, the latter giving a high quality, clearer image in this digital age.
Why Have a Floor Plan?
A floor plan is a useful tool used by estate agents to aid the sale of your property and something drawn up by Domestic Energy Assessors (DEAs) as part of the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) survey. It gives the reader a better idea of the property layout.
